The National Institute for Security Studies (NISS) has lauded Governor Uba Sani for the significant progress achieved through the coordinated Kaduna peace framework.
Uduak Uduak Ituen, Team Lead of the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 19, Syndicate 4, gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House on Saturday.
She explained that the team was in Kaduna for a study tour designed to “bridge theory with practical reality.”
Ituen noted that the insights gained from the state would enhance the syndicate’s research papers and contribute to actionable recommendations for strengthening Nigeria’s national security.
She further highlighted that the Governor’s achievements with the Kaduna Peace Model earned him the 2026 Governor of the Year award from the National Leadership Summit Group in March.
“The award speaks volumes about your commitment to security, inclusive governance, and people-centered development in Kaduna State,” Ituen remarked.
In his response, Governor Uba Sani emphasized that the Kaduna experience proves sustainable security relies on more than just enforcement—it requires intelligence, trust, and inclusion.
“Through the intentional integration of intelligence-led operations, improved inter-agency cooperation, and ongoing community engagement, we have seen real progress in restoring peace and public confidence,” the Governor stated.
He further argued that security is inseparable from economic development.
He said:”Where opportunity is lacking, instability often takes hold. Therefore, our approach has been holistic: linking security measures with investments in infrastructure, education, and social welfare to address both the symptoms and root causes of insecurity.”
Governor Sani described the EIMC visit as timely, noting that it provides a platform for a meaningful exchange of strategies that could inform policy at both the state and national levels.
He encouraged the delegation to engage deeply and explore collaboration opportunities, adding that such engagements are essential for building a “responsive and resilient security system.”
