Radda Prays for Yar’Adua 16 Years After Death

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Tuesday prayed for late former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, who died 16 years ago on May 5, 2010.

Radda described the late President as one of Nigeria’s greatest leaders, and a man of truth, honesty, and integrity, who kept his promises to the people.

“Today, we remember a leader who gave everything to this nation. President Yar’Adua was not perfect, but he was honest. He was not afraid, but he was humble. He did not seek power, but he wielded it with grace,” the Governor stated.

He also noted that late Yar’Adua’s commitment to Katsina State, both as governor and president, shaped its development trajectory, and that of the North West region.

“His leadership demonstrated what principled governance looks like. His dedication showed what a president can achieve when guided by conscience and duty”, governor Radda said, and called on Nigerians to remember late Yar’Adua’s examples.

He urged leaders to emulate his honesty and integrity and for the citizens to uphold the principles he championed.

He prayed for the eternal rest of the late President’s soul and comfort for his family.

The governor also prayed for Nigeria’s continued progress in the spirit of Yar’Adua’s vision.
