The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Nasarawa State, Aliyu Ahmed Wadada, has described his emergence at the party’s primary election as a victory for all members of the APC and the people of the state.

Speaking at a press conference in Lafia on Monday, Wadada said his victory reflected the collective aspirations of the people for a more prosperous, peaceful, united and progressive Nasarawa State.

“This victory is not mine alone. It belongs to every citizen of Nasarawa who believes in a better future for our state. It is a victory for democracy, unity, continuity and the collective aspirations of our people,” he said.

Wadada formally accepted the mandate given to him by APC members across the state and pledged to serve with dedication, sincerity and a strong sense of responsibility.

“I accept this mandate with deep humility, total commitment and an unwavering determination to continue serving the people of Nasarawa State,” he said.

The APC candidate commended the party leadership for conducting what he described as a peaceful, transparent, credible and successful governorship primary election.

According to him, the exercise demonstrated the strength of the party’s internal democracy and reinforced members’ confidence in the APC as a platform for sustainable development and good governance.

Wadada also expressed appreciation to fellow aspirants who participated in the primary election and accepted its outcome, urging party members and supporters to unite ahead of the 2027 general election.

“There is no victor and no vanquished. We are members of one political family united by a common vision and commitment to the peace, unity and development of Nasarawa State. I appeal to all party members, stakeholders and supporters to close ranks and work together as one APC family,” he said.

The governorship candidate unveiled his development blueprint, tagged the HEARTS Agenda, which he said would drive people-centred governance and sustainable development in the state.

He explained that the agenda focuses on Human Capital Development, Economic Enhancement, Accountability, Rural Transformation, Technology Advancement and Security.

According to Wadada, the initiative is designed to consolidate existing achievements while creating new opportunities for economic growth, innovation, youth empowerment, rural development and improved security.

He also commended Bola Ahmed Tinubu for implementing reforms aimed at repositioning the country for long-term economic stability and sustainable development.

Wadada further praised the administration of Abdullahi Sule, saying it had laid a solid foundation for the state’s growth through investments in infrastructure, education, security, agriculture, healthcare and economic development.

He pledged to build on the achievements of the current administration if elected governor in 2027.
