The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Nasarawa State, Aliyu Ahmed Wadada, has described his emergence at the party’s primary election as a victory for all members of the APC and the people of the state.

Speaking at a press conference in Lafia on Monday, Wadada said his victory reflected the collective aspirations of the people for a more prosperous, peaceful, united and progressive Nasarawa State.

“This victory is not mine alone. It belongs to every citizen of Nasarawa who believes in a better future for our state. It is a victory for democracy, unity, continuity and the collective aspirations of our people,” he said.

Wadada formally accepted the mandate given to him by APC members across the state and pledged to serve with dedication, sincerity and a strong sense of responsibility.

The APC candidate commended the party leadership for conducting what he described as a peaceful, transparent, credible and successful governorship primary election.

According to him, the exercise demonstrated the strength of the party’s internal democracy and reinforced members’ confidence in the APC as a platform for sustainable development and good governance.

Wadada also expressed appreciation to fellow aspirants who participated in the primary election and accepted its outcome, urging party members and supporters to unite ahead of the 2027 general election.
