The newly elected All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship flagbearer for Nasarawa State, Senator Aliyu Ahmed Wadada, has dedicated his primary election victory to the entire citizens of the state, describing it as a triumph for unity, continuity, and democratic progress.
Senator Wadada made the assertion on Monday during a world press conference at the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Lafia, the state capital.
The briefing was aimed at expressing his deep appreciation to APC stakeholders, women and youth groups, co-contestants, and party delegates for the mandate accorded to him to lead the party into the 2027 general elections.
Formally accepting the nomination, Senator Wadada praised the internal democracy of the ruling party, noting that the peaceful and credible conduct of the primaries reaffirmed why the APC remains the preferred vehicle for sustainable development.
He extended a hand of fellowship to his fellow contestants, urging them and their supporters to put aside pre-election differences and close ranks for the impending general election campaign.
“I formally accept this mandate freely given by members of our great party, APC, across the state.
“I accept it with a deep sense of responsibility, total commitment, sincerity of purpose, and an unwavering determination to continue serving the people of Nasarawa State.
“There is no victor and no vanquished. We are members of one political family united by a common vision and a shared commitment to the peace, unity, and development of Nasarawa State.
“I appeal to all party members, stakeholders, and supporters to close ranks, put aside differences, and work together as one united APC family,” he stated.
Looking ahead to the general election, Senator Wadada unveiled his comprehensive development blueprint, tagged the “HEARTS” Agenda.
He explained that the policy framework is a people-centered governance strategy designed to consolidate existing achievements while unlocking new opportunities across the state.
