Democracy Day: Arewa Youth Assembly passes vote of confidence on Service Chief

The Arewa Youth Assembly has passed a full vote of confidence in all service chiefs and heads of security of the country .

The youth assembly Deputy Speaker, North Central, Mohammed SAAD ABOKI while addressing the pressmen in a rally in Abuja, explained that the security heads are men of honour, men of sacrifice, and men of unbroken commitment to the Nigerian project, noting that they deserve support, prayers, not suspicion and politicking.

He stressed that Nigeria will defeat insecurity with personal collaborative efforts, adding that there is need for support and synergise with the security architecture to conquer the common enemy.

“The Arewa Youth Assembly passes a full and unconditional vote of confidence in all our service chiefs and security heads. These are men of honour, men of sacrifice, and men of unbroken commitment to the Nigerian project. They deserve our support, not our suspicion. They deserve our prayers, not our politicking.

“We call on all Nigerians to say no to divisive tendencies and focus on the strength that unites us. Nigerians must put to shame the embers of hate and rally behind our security architecture to put a permanent end to insecurity. Security is not a Northern problem or a Southern problem. It is Nigeria’s problem, and it demands Nigeria’s collective response.

The youth leader warned that Nigeria’s security is not a political football but a sacred national responsibility, and that Nigerians must rally behind the men and women who carry that responsibility every single day.

“The Arewa Youth Assembly gathers today at this Democracy Day Celebration Rally in Abuja with a clear and unambiguous message. Nigeria’s security is not a political football. It is a sacred national responsibility, and every Nigerian must rally behind the men and women who carry that responsibility every single day,” he said.

He stressed that Twenty-seven years of uninterrupted democracy is not an accident, adding that it is the fruit of sacrifice, vigilance, and the courage of those who have stood guard over this republic.

ABOKI commended the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for giving the armed forces and security agencies the full backing they need to discharge their duties.

Similarly, the Nigeria Citizens watch For Good Governance in their Democracy Day Rally Speech demanded clearly without equivocation that the nation’s security must not be politicised.

In a statement, the Convener, Collins Eshiofeh emphasized that those who seek to weaponise insecurity for political gain do a grave disservice to the nation and to the memory of every soldier, police officer, and intelligence operative who has laid down their life in service.

“Nigeria Citizens Watch for Good Governance passes a firm and emphatic vote of confidence on our service chiefs. These are not mere officeholders. They are patriots. They are guardians. They are heroes of our democracy, and they deserve the full support of every Nigerian citizen,” he stated.
