The national coordinator of the socio-political movement Disciples of Jagaban, Honorable Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will reply to insults and hate speech with tangible results rather than engage in verbal arguments.
Alawuje made this statement while receiving a delegation of the Disciples of Jagaban from Northeastern Nigeria and a group of progressive-minded Nigerians who paid him a courtesy visit at his office. The delegation was led by Honorable Danjuma Suleiman from Bauchi State, who expressed gratitude for the assurances and encouragement given by the National Coordinator.
According to Danjuma, the group remains dedicated to supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda. It is ready to increase its efforts beyond what was done during the 2023 election campaign to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Speaking during the meeting, Alawuje noted that President Tinubu understands Nigeria’s challenges and has the courage, vision, and determination needed to address them. He explained that previous administrations avoided implementing critical reforms necessary to reposition the country because they feared the temporary hardships often associated with such bold decisions.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown exceptional courage and leadership by directly confronting these long-standing issues. From his very first day in office, he started reforms aimed at strengthening infrastructure, revitalizing the economy, and improving national security,” Alawuje said.
He also emphasized that the current difficulties are part of a necessary transition process required to fix decades of systemic mismanagement and economic distortions. “The challenges we face today are the results of problems that have built up over many years. President Tinubu understands that real reform demands sacrifice, patience, and resolve. He has chosen to face reality and lay the groundwork for a stronger, more prosperous, and more sustainable Nigeria,” he explained.
Alawuje expressed confidence that Nigerians will soon begin to see, touch, and experience the positive impacts of the administration’s policies and reforms. He described President Tinubu as one of the bravest democrats of our time, adding that his focus remains on implementing policies that will empower Nigerians, create opportunities, bolster institutions, and secure a better future for coming generations.
The Disciples of Jagaban coordinator warned against efforts by political opponents to undermine public trust in the government through misinformation and negative propaganda, describing such actions as deliberate attempts to disconnect the President from the people supporting his vision for national progress.
According to him, transforming a nation after decades of mismanagement cannot happen overnight and should not be expected to happen by miracle. Instead, it requires a carefully planned process, which President Tinubu studied and prepared for long before taking office.
Alawuje, therefore, urged Nigerians not to lose hope but to continue supporting the administration as it works to deliver sustainable growth, economic stability, national development, and shared prosperity. “President Tinubu means well for Nigeria. He needs the support, patience, and cooperation of all Nigerians as he leads the country towards a brighter future. Together, we can build the Nigeria of our dreams,” he said.
He concluded by expressing optimism that the success of these ongoing reforms will eventually position Nigeria as a model for other African nations seeking sustainable development and economic transformation. “With time, the achievements of these reforms will speak for themselves and place Nigeria among the leading examples of successful economic and governance reforms in Africa,” he added.
