The National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Murtala Aliyu Kankia, has called on party chieftains and stakeholders to show more commitment to the development of the party.

Kankia in a statement on Friday, urged members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling party to emulate the examplary efforts of the National Woman Leader, Dr. Mary Alile-Adele and the National Publicity Secretary (NPS), Barr. Felix Morka, for always going beyond bounds to market the party to Nigerians.

He further stated that the APC cannot afford to be complacent as Nigeria’s political landscape becomes increasingly competitive, insisting that the leadership of the party should be for only those willing to invest their time, resources, intellect and energy in strengthening the party in sustaining its electoral dominance.

“I must single out Dr Mary Alile-Adele for her extraordinary nationwide mobilisation drive, she has gone beyond the conventional responsibilities of a National Woman Leader to become one of the party’s strongest grassroots assets.

“She has continued to deploy her personal energy, intellectual capacity and resources to rally women, youths and other critical stakeholders behind the APC’s programmes across different parts of the country without waiting for directives or external encouragement.

“I will also applaud the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, because he is one of the party’s most formidable public advocates whose robust defence of APC policies has consistently countered opposition narratives.

“Morka has remained resolute in projecting the party’s positions on national issues despite persistent political attacks, earning him respect within the APC and making him the envy of opposition parties.

“Both leaders have demonstrated that effective leadership requires visible action rather than rhetoric, their commitment has helped reinforce public confidence in the APC at a time when political competition is intensifying ahead of future electoral contests”.

Barrister Kankia urged other party executives at national, state and local government levels to embrace the same spirit of dedication, adding that political organisations thrive when their leaders take personal responsibility for mobilising supporters and defending party’s programmes.
