BREAKING NEWS: Nigeria qualifies for 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup

Nigeria’s U-17 women national team, the Flamingos on Saturday qualified for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup to be hosted in Morocco

The teenagers defeated their Benin Republic counterparts 8-5 on aggregate to secure their passage to the World Cup.

The second leg of the final qualifier ended 3-5 in Benin. Recall that last weekend the Nigerian ladies overcame the Benin Amazon in a five-goal thriller after the scoreline ended 2-3.

The 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup will be hosted in Morocco from October 17 to November 7, 2026. It features 24 national teams competing across group and knockout stages in the tenth edition of this youth tournament.
