Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, CON, has approved a new round of strategic appointments aimed at strengthening governance, revamping public service, and advancing the administration’s transformative agenda.
This was conveyed in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibraheem Musa, and released to journalists on Monday, July 13, 2026.
According to the statement, the Governor appointed three key aides to lead policy and community engagement.
They are: Hon. Audu Maikori, Chief Strategic Advisor, Inter-Governmental Affairs; Umar Uba Maicitta, Senior Special Assistant, Community Relations; and Aminu Mohammed Gusau, Senior Special Assistant, Policy Communications.
The Governor also approved the appointment of chairpersons and members for five major boards and institutions to boost service delivery across the education, mining, livestock, quality assurance, and media sectors.
At Kaduna State University Governing Council, *Dr. Ibrahim Umar was named Pro-Chancellor and Chairman. Other members include Dr. Ibrahim Hamidu, representing Zone 1; Malam Adamu Aliyu Shika, representing Zone 2; Mrs. Ladi Barnabas Bala Bantex, representing Zone 3; and *Alhaji Adamu Attah*, representing the Organized Private Sector.
For the Kaduna Mining Development Company Management Board, Lawal Umar Meyere* was appointed as Board Chairman. Members include Hon. Addau Ahmed for Zone 1, Hon. Kabiru Tsoho Yakawada* for Zone 2, and Yohanna Allah Magani Christopher for Zone 3.
The Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority Management Board will be chaired by Tanko Kokwain, with Thomas Samuel Amal representing Zone 1, Esther Ayuba Anthony representing Zone 2, and Mustapha Ahmed* representing Zone 3.
At the Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Agency*, David Umar Gurara* was named Board Chairman. Other members include Bello Nuhu Yakubu for Zone 1, Hon. Hassan Adamu Shekarau for Zone 2, and Mrs. Hannatu Sambo for Zone 3.
The *Kaduna State Media Corporation, KSMC, Board* will be chaired by *Yakubu El Saad Lere*. Members include *Zubairu Balarabe Saminu* for Zone 1, *Binta Saidu* for Zone 2, and *Habila Abel Adamu* for Zone 3.
The statement characterized the new appointees as seasoned professionals and resourceful leaders, carefully chosen for their proven track records, competence, and unwavering dedication to Kaduna State’s socio-economic development.
While congratulating the new appointees, Governor Uba Sani challenged them to see their appointments as a call to duty.
He urged them to “hit the ground running by executing their duties with utmost diligence, transparency, and strict adherence to ethical conduct, to ensure the rapid delivery of democratic dividends to the good people of Kaduna State.”
