The OK Movement, a support group for Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential and vice-presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, has distanced itself from Ogunche Sani, who reportedly claims to be the National Executive Committee Director of the Obidients Kwankwasiyya Merger.
In a statement issued on Monday, the group’s National Director General, John Ozyl Ughulu, said the movement neither recognizes Sani nor has any affiliation with the organisation he claims to represent.
The group also disowned a flyer being circulated on social media by Sani, stating that it did not originate from the OK Movement.
According to the statement, all official communications of the movement are issued only through its recognized leadership and authorized platforms.
“The OK Movement is not affiliated with this group or organisation in any way, and we do not recognize Mr. Ogunche Sani or his claimed position,” the statement said.
The movement urged its members and the general public to disregard the flyer and avoid sharing personal information or official materials with individuals or groups claiming to represent the organisation without proper authorization.
It also advised supporters to remain vigilant against acts of impersonation and misrepresentation.
