A new Technical Crew is to be unveiled for Bayelsa State owned Bayelsa United Football Club by the Management Board of the club.
The unveiling ceremony will be held at the weekly Prosperity morning Walk on Thursday, 16th of July, 2026 at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
The new Technical Team was selected from a shortlist of 8 coaches after a rigorous interview process conducted by a panel of technical experts constituted for the process by the board.
The process was transparently conducted by an interview panel headed by ex-Nigerian International, as well as a Member Technical Committee of the NFF and FIFA instructor, Edema Fuludu.
The unveiling ceremony is an important landmark as the Board kick starts the process of reviving Bayelsa United as well as returning it back to the Nigerian Professional Football League(NPFL) where it rightly belongs.
It also marks the beginning of efforts by the board at fulfilling the mandate of the Bayelsa State Government to restructure the club for a more purposeful and result oriented participation.
The board has also approved the appointment of veteran media personnel and one-time National Vice Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, (SWAN), Mr. Ebi Avi as Media Adviser with immediate effect.
