The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed optimism that the party will reclaim Osun State in the August 15 governorship election, describing victory as achievable through its nationwide political structure.
Speaking on Wednesday during the inauguration of the APC National Campaign Council for the governorship poll, Yilwatda said the ruling party was fully prepared for the contest and would leave no stone unturned in its bid to return to power in the state.
He maintained that the APC remained Nigeria’s strongest political platform and had the organizational strength to secure victory at the polls.
The APC chairman disclosed that governors elected on the party’s platform, members of the National Assembly, local government chairmen and other key stakeholders would be actively involved in the campaign to boost the party’s chances.
According to him, the Osun governorship election is a crucial test ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that the APC candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), would emerge victorious.
Yilwatda also said the party would step up grassroots mobilization across Osun State to attract more support from voters before election day, insisting that nothing would prevent the APC from taking over the Government House.
