Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) will secure a decisive victory in the 2027 general election.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics , monitored in Abuja, Keyamo said the administration’s performance and what he described as favourable political demographics would ensure Tinubu’s re-election.
The minister argued that the President enjoys widespread support across the country, maintaining that the APC remains well positioned to retain power in the next general election.
He also dismissed the electoral prospects of the leading opposition presidential hopefuls, Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), questioning their ability to attract enough votes to unseat the incumbent.
According to Keyamo, his confidence was based on political calculations rather than overconfidence, describing the 2027 presidential contest as one that strongly favours President Tinubu.
He maintained that the achievements recorded by the APC-led Federal Government have strengthened the President’s standing ahead of the polls, expressing optimism that the party would emerge victorious when Nigerians go to the ballot.
