Omu-Aran community maize farmers commends Gov. AbdulRazaq’ Agric. Inputs Intervention in Kwara

Kwara farmers displaying inputs from the state government

Farmers in Omu-Aran community, in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for providing agriculture inputs as intervention to ensure food security in the state.

In a statement issued in Omu-Aran, the maize farmers contact community leader, Adebayo Salau said the introduction of “Kwara State 2026 Wet Season Special Maize Intervention to communities affected by banditry and natural disaster” for clustered community maize farmers is a commendable effort.

Salau said the invaluable support of His Excellency which is aimed at ensuring food sufficiency during this period is a good initiative in the right direction.

He also commended the Honourable Commissioner for Livestock Development, Mrs. Oloruntoyosi Adebayo, who doubled as the supervising commissioner for Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, for her resilience in ensuring that the intervention gets to genuine farmers at the right time.

Salau explained that the high quality golden fertiliser, chemicals and maize seedlings recently distributed will make a significant impact in the life of the farmers.

He thanked the governor for his positive response to the yearnings and aspirations of farmers in the state.

Salau assured the state government of the support of maize farmers to government policies and programmes to ensure their success.
