IGP congratulates Commonwealth champion Ezekiel Nathanie

The Inspector General of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Olatunji Disu has congratulated Corporal Ezekiel Nathaniel following his remarkable achievement at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
Nathaniel made the nation proud after winning the gold medal in the men’s 400m hurdles.
He delivered a brilliant performance that earned Nigeria one of its most celebrated victories at the Games.
Reacting to the victory, IGP Disu said Nathaniel’s accomplishment represents a new chapter for police officers who combine public service with excellence in sports.
He noted that the feat would inspire other officers and young athletes across the country to pursue greatness.
Disu said: “On behalf of the Nigeria Police Force, I congratulate Corporal Ezekiel Nathaniel on his historic gold medal win in the 400m hurdles at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
“You have shown the world that our officers excel both in service and in sport. The Nigeria Police Force is proud of you and celebrates this outstanding achievement, which has brought honour to the Force and to our great nation.”
