The gubernatorial candidate of the Accord Party in Taraba State, Prof. Jerome Nyameh, has urged eligible voters in Osun State to turn out in large numbers on August 15, 2026, to participate in the state governorship election.
Nyameh made the call on Monday while briefing journalists in Jalingo, Taraba State.
He expressed the party’s support and solidarity with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, and the people of the state ahead of the election.
The Accord candidate urged eligible voters to exercise their civic responsibility and ensure that their votes count.
According to him, the participation of citizens is essential to strengthening the democratic process and ensuring that the people freely choose their leaders.
Nyameh also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to maintain neutrality, professionalism and impartiality throughout the electoral process.
He urged the relevant authorities to ensure that voters are allowed to cast their ballots without intimidation, interference or manipulation.
“Democracy is strongest when citizens are allowed to freely choose their leaders,” he said.
“They must resist every form of political interference, intimidation or manipulation and ensure that every vote is protected and counted.
“Let the ballot speak. Let the people decide. Let the will of Osun people prevail,” Nyameh added.
