#OsunDecides2026: ADC’s Najeem Salam loses own Ejigbo LG to Adeleke

The gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Najeem Salam, has lost his own Ejigbo local government to the candidate of the Accord Party and incumbent governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

According to the results declared by Professor Akitayo Cecilia, the collation officer for the local government, Adeleke’s Accord Party emerged victorious in Ejigbo with 18,458 votes, while Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) got 16,195 votes.

Salaam’s ADC came third in his local government, polling just 5,053 votes. However, his hometown, Ejigbo, is the headquarters of the Ejigbo local government.
