The Accord Party governorship candidate in Taraba State, Prof. Jerome Nyameh, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his reported victory in the state governorship election.
Nyameh described the outcome as a reflection of the will of the people and commended Osun voters for participating in the electoral process despite what he described as intimidation and political pressure.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Accord governorship candidate said Adeleke’s mandate demonstrated the determination of Osun voters to protect democratic values and ensure that their votes count.
He said the election outcome represented a clear expression of the choice made by the people of Osun State.
Nyameh also commended the electorate for turning out to exercise their civic responsibility, saying their participation contributed to the credibility of the electoral process.
He particularly praised members and supporters of the Accord Party in Osun State for their resilience, alleging that they faced intimidation, pressure and political opposition during the electioneering period.
“Congratulations, Your Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, on your victory.
“To the good people of Osun State, you have made your choice, and your voice has been heard.
“Thank you for standing firm and defending your votes despite the intimidation, pressure and political gang-up against the Accord Party and its candidate,” he said.
Nyameh said the development should serve as a reminder to political stakeholders that electoral power ultimately belongs to the people.
“This victory is a powerful reminder that when the people stand together, their will cannot be silenced,” he added.
