The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Sen. Abdul’Aziz Yari, arrived Abuja, with a firm commitment to the Nigerians that the party will fulfill all its campaign promises, in the buildup to President Bola Tinubu’s second-term campaign.
Yari, who was speaking to newsmen after an overseas trip was equally received by a jubilant crowd of party faithful and supporters, declared that keeping to campaign promises remains the hallmark of the APC.
“I want to assure Nigerians that whatever promise we made during campaign, we shall keep to our promises.
“Today we have seen him (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) as President today and by God’s grace he shall be the president come 2027,” he stated.
The former governor of Zamfara state while addressing the crowd of party stakeholders who converged on the airport expressed gratitude for the reception, adding that their presence represents a shared national vision and spiritual support for the government.
“The crowd are here to pray for me and for the success of Mr. President,” he remarked, adding, “Our party is synonymous for keeping to our words. We pray that Almighty Allah will give him [the President] the wisdom to lead this country.
“We assure Nigerians that we shall fulfill all our campaign promises.”
Yari while looking beyond the immediate electoral cycle, expressed confidence in the party’s long-term standing with the Nigerian public, saying, “We pray that our party will continue to be the party to lead the country after President Tinubu’s second term.”
The arrival of the APC PCC campaign DG marks his official assumption of duties following his official announcement since his appointment by President Tinubu on Saturday.
A seasoned political strategist and former Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Sen. Yari brings decades of legislative and executive experience to the political engine of the ruling party.
The APC leadership believes that his appointment is a strategic move by the party to consolidate political structures, especially in the Northern region and to coordinate national campaign operations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
