‘we lost a father’—NAIC boss mourns Emir of Zurmi

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation, Yazeed Shehu Danfulani, has mourned the death of the Emir of Zurmi, Alhaji Bello Suleiman, describing his passing as a major loss to Zurmi Emirate, Zamfara State and Nigeria.

Danfulani, in a condolence message issued after the monarch’s death on Monday evening, said he received the news with “deep shock and profound sadness”.

The NAIC boss described the late emir as a father to all who embraced people without discrimination during his reign.

“The late Emir was a father to all; he never differentiated but embraced all as his own,” Danfulani said.

He described Suleiman as a respected traditional ruler whose wisdom, leadership and commitment to peace, unity and development left a lasting legacy.

“The death of the Emir is a great loss not only to the people of Zurmi Emirate and Zamfara State but Nigeria in general.

“Truly, we lost a father,” he said.

Danfulani said the monarch’s contributions to the wellbeing and development of his people would remain in the memories of generations to come.

He condoled with the late emir’s family, the Zurmi Emirate Council, the Zamfara State Government and the people of the state.

He also extended his condolences to all those affected by the monarch’s death.

Danfulani prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the late emir’s shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.

He also prayed for strength and patience for the monarch’s family and loved ones to bear the loss.
