Over 100 pupils of LEA Primary School, City Gate in Durumi 2, Abuja, have been presented with new school bags and essential educational materials by the Wisewisdom Charity Foundation to enhance their learning experience and support basic education in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The outreach, themed “Building Tomorrow Today: One Bag, One Child,” was organized to equip underprivileged children with vital academic tools, bolster their confidence, and help reduce educational inequality across local communities.
Dr. Peter Olumuji, Convener of the Non-Governmental Organisation, who led members of the Board of Trustees of the foundation, highlighted that providing direct support to young learners transforms lives and aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The distribution was witnessed by key officials from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
Dr. Jumai Ahmadu, an FCTA Director, stressed the importance of supporting children from low-income backgrounds, while Mrs. Ukachi Adebayo, Head of Enforcement at the FCT Social Development Secretariat, commended the foundation’s intervention and pledged ongoing backing for such community initiatives.
Responding, the Head Mistress of LEA Primary School, Mrs. Helen Adejare, expressed gratitude for the donation and called on other corporate entities and well-meaning individuals to replicate similar support for underserved schools.
