Katsina state commissioner of police, Alhaji Dahiru Muhammad Hurdi has disclosed that his command had succeeded in arresting 55 cattle rustlers from across various parts of the state.
Briefing newsmen, yesterday in Katsina, Hurdi noted that the 55 cattle rustlers were arrested in Jibia, Batsari, Safana, Danmusa and Malumfashi local governments.
He added that as a result of the arrest, 218 cattle’s, Nine herds of Sheep, five motorcycles, a Canter were recovered, adding that the owners of the property have started coming forward to claim them.
Similarly, Hurdi said the command has successfully arrested two cyber-crime suspects, one Omotayo Bamidele and Okura where he disclosed that 33 ATM cards of different banks, a laptop and N500 suspect to be fake were recovered from them.
The commissioner also stated that one, Malam Magaji Aliyu of Dandume town was arrested after one, Usman Aliyu had confessed to having a homosexual affair with him.
According to him, seven notorious armed robbery suspects were arrested and sevem motor vehicle recovered from them, adding that the police had successfully recovered a Mercedez Benz in Daura area.
He however disclosed that the police had equally arrested one Abdulmalik Sa’idu Sule for allegedly diverting the phone number of the state governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Shema to seek for financial favours from state officials.
