The National Examinations Council (NECO) has celebrated the exceptional contributions of its staff and key stakeholders at its 2025 Annual Staff Productivity Award Ceremony, held at the council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State.
Speaking at the event, NECO Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their leadership and active support, emphasizing that fulfilling the council’s national mandate depends on shared commitment and ongoing collaboration.
Prof. Wushishi paid tribute to the council’s workforce, describing them as the “Army of NECO” whose dedication, resilience, and professionalism drive the organization forward.
Reaffirming his commitment to continuous improvement, he urged staff to view the awards as a call to higher productivity, teamwork, and service delivery across test centers worldwide, while maintaining examination credibility and accountability.
Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of the occasion, represented by the Director-General of Students Affairs, Dr. Bello Shariff, commended the NECO management and staff for raising operational standards.
He noted that the annual awards boost morale and promote healthy competition, ultimately building public trust in examination outcomes.
The ceremony featured awards across several categories, including service certificates for 2025 retirees, recognition for hardworking staff, Best Coordinator, Best Driver, and special honors for the top-performing male and female students of the 2025 examinations.
