Pantami missing from INEC’s final Gombe candidates’ list

Date:

The name of former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, is missing from the Independent National Electoral Commission’s final list of candidates for the 2027 Gombe State governorship election.

Pantami, who is reportedly a governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, was not listed in the final candidates’ document released by INEC on Saturday.

The omission was confirmed in the commission’s final list of Gombe State governorship candidates, according to a report by Leadership.

The development raises questions about Pantami’s status in the race, although the reason for his omission was not stated in the report.
