Niger’state government has paid off a total of N205.016 million to the West African Examination Council (WAEC) debt owed by the former administration in the state.
The governor’s Special Adviser on Print Media, Aisha Wakaso made this known during a press briefing at government house Minna.
Wakaso added that governor Mohammed Umar Bago has approved the sum of N30 million monthly payment to offset the National Examinations Council NECO backlog of debt by the previous administration.
The special adviser revealed that 5 out of the 200 of the CNG buses procurement which the state government signed MOU to the sum of N7 billion to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal has arrived Minna.
Similarly, the state commissioner of Land and Survey, Maurice Bello Magaji said the state government has concluded plans to revamp its NIGIS and simplify the processing of Certificate of Occupancy in the state.
Also, the Niger state governor’s Special Adviser and Focal Person on Social Investment Program, Hauwa Bako Mohammed stated that 50 youth participants were sent to Abeokuta, Ogun state for three months agriculture training.
