Gombe PDP chieftain advises traditional leaders on preaching peace

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State, Alhaji Labilwa Ahmadu Madugu has advised traditional rulers to always preach peace, even as he said that the peaceful coexistence among the people in the area is the only solution that would sustain the development of the society.

The PDP chieftain gave the advice yesterday in Kaltungo when PDP stakeholders paid homage to the resident of the district head of the area.

He said as traditional rulers, they have vital role to play in maintaining peace  in their domains, noting that the issue of security which is bedeviling the nation should be a collective responsibility adding that  there is need for stakeholders to embark on awareness campaign in order to enlighten the public to be security conscious to enable

them sustain peace in the society.

The chieftain also emphasized the commitment of the government in providing social amenities and infrastructural development to the door step of the people, adding that the visit to various communities became necessary in order to extend government’s appreciation to the people for their support that led to the success of the government.

Speaking further, the PDP chieftain however advised politicians to conduct themselves peacefully and play the game of politics without bitterness, urging traditional rulers to  extend the message to their respective domains to ensure peace for the progress of the area.
