Niger: 1 killed, property destroyed as Niger communities clash

One person was killed and  roperty worth millions of naira were destroyed during the communal clash between the people of Gulu Vatsa and Gulu Anguwan communities in Lapai local government area of Niger state.

It was gathered that the clash occurred when the two communities were dragging over claims  on boundary.

An eye witness, Mr. Aliyu  olo, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that the crisis which began on Monday left the residents of the communities in pandemonium.

Kolo said that already security men have been deployed to the communities to protect the lives and properties of the citizens.

Meanwhile, effort made to reach the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Lapai local government for comment proved abortive.
