The Association of Premier League Club Chairmen and Managers known as Club Owners have lifted the suspension placed on three of their member-clubs with immediate effect.
The affected member-clubs and their officials namely Tijani Babangida(FC Taraba), Fatai Olayinka (Crown FC) and Rumson Baribote( Nembe FC) were granted pardon following a report from a special committee set up to look into the issues that led to the suspension.
It would be recalled that the Club Owners had suspended the affected members for flaunting the directives of the body by belonging to a new league body.
Receiving the committee’s report yesterday in Abuja, the executive committee of the association said the decision to lift the suspension became necessary in order to carry all members along as one united and indivisible entity.
Confirming the recent development, acting secretary of the Club Owners Alloy Chukwuemeka said in Abuja that the decision was taken in the best interest of the association as well as for reconciliation and oneness of the body.
He added that the affected members should rejoin the association and work towards ensuring the unity, progress and development of the body and its activities, describing their recall as based on popular demand by members.
Meanwhile the Club Owners will soon meet to deliberate on series of burning issues as the League draws towards the concluding part of the season.
