Katsina donates 31 motorcycles, grains to victims of Shinfida attack

Katsina state government has donated 31 motorcycles, 50 bags of grains and settled medical bills of victims of cattle rustlers attack in Shinfida village of border town of Jibiya local government.

The governor who was represented by the chairman of Jibiya local government area, Alhaji Aminu Lawal, noted that the gesture was to provide relief to the victims of the unfortunate attack.

He similarly said, Shema has urged members of the community to at all times, report persons suspected of harbouring suspicious character to the authorities concern so as to guard against such ugly occurrences.

The Governor also called on them to consider what happened to them as an act of God and advised them to intensify prayers for God to intervene to guard against occurrences.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the state Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Muhammad Hurdi noted that the Police Command had taken drastic measures to enhance security in the area.

Also speaking the representative of the emir of Katsina and district head of Jibiya, Alhaji Rabe Rabi’u assured that traditional rulers in the area would always support government in ensuring security of lives and property.

It could be recalled that suspected cattle rustlers had over the last weekend attacked Shinfida village, where seven persons were killed and property worth millions of naira were destroyed.
