The Chief Servant and Executive Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, who is also Talban Minna, has emphasized the need to uphold Ethics and Values in our daily lives, to promote good morals and create the future we need.
He was speaking as Special Guest of Honour at the Public Presentation of a book titled: ‘Halting The Mastermind’, written by Comrade Ike Stanley and published by the Youth Organization For Self-Sustenance In Nigeria Inc., with the support and collaboration of the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Ethics and Values, Dr. Sarah Jibril.
The Chief Servant, represented by the Co-ordinator and Senior Special Assistant to the Niger state Governor on Ethics and Values, Malam Etsu Umar, warned citizens to always remain cautious and be very sensitive to decent living standards, develop good ethical values, create socio-political norms, observe and respect the rule of law.
He further stressed the need for people to be responsible citizens by embracing peace, shunning corruption, and participating fully in politics, so that the society can be a better place for all of us.
“We should remain focused and committed to the development of our dear country –Nigeria, by promoting good governance, rising above temptations and challenges while setting standards for continuous protection of our ethics and values” he said.
The event, which was held at the auditorium of Nigeria National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja, and attended by top government officials, captains of industry, ministers, governors, senators, House of Representatives members, and members of the general public.
