All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna state, Alhaji Kabiru Salihu Maishinkafa, yesterday said the party will protect all its votes during governorship election in 2015.
Zaria is the birth place of the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Muktar Ramalan Yero, who is also contesting on Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform.
The chairman disclosed this while receiving the APC’s governorship aspirant, Alhaji Isa Mohammad Ashiru delegation in the area.
He said the opposition party this time around will sweep all electoral positions not only in the state but also at federal level.
“We will make sure that we protect our votes this time around. We will never allow some people to steal our votes for governorship election. We are happy to receive your delegation in our Local Government,” he said.
He further urged Zaria people, particularly party delegates to support Ashiru’s aspiration by voting for him during the party primaries scheduled for 2nd December.
Meanwhile, internal leadership crisis rocked APC in Sabon Gari Local government Area of the state.
Secretary of the party in Zaria, Adamu Isiaku, who addressed the delegation, expressed worry over the leadership crisis rocking the party in the area.
The governorship aspirant, in his remarks, urged them to unite themselves and work for the party’s victory in future elections.
