Insurgency: FG urged to summon meeting with former leaders

The Federal government has been called upon to as matter of urgency summon a meeting with all the former leaders, including all former Heads of State in order to find solution to the security challenges that has engulfed the northern part of the country.

A community leader, Dr. Magaji Muhammad Paki, the Tafidan Ankwa, made the call while speaking with newsmen in Kaduna yesterday,

Dr. Paki described happenings in the country as pathetic, adding that it required all Nigerians to come together and seek for an urgent solution that will restore peace, unity and stability to the country.

“What is happening in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa States in particular and that of Gombe and Bauchi is quite unfortunate. Our past leaders,especially the past Heads of State, who are still alive should put their heads together and come up with a sustainable solution to these crises”.

According to him seven of the former Heads of State are still alive and they should not allow this daily killing and bombings to continue.

Paki called on the ex-Heads of State, past and present governors,’ ex ministers, commissioners and past security leaders to put hands on deck to salvage the country from disintegration.
