The All Progressives Congress (APC) women and youth from Bauchi Local Government Area staged a peaceful protest at the state secretariat of the APC along Ahmadu Bello Way Bauchi, calling for the removal of the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Uba Ahmed Nana for not implementing the appeal panel report in the state.

It could be recalled that last two weeks, supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi local government area have pleaded with the state executives of the party to implement the appeal committee report sent by the National Secretariat of the party over the conduct of the last Local Government congress in the state.

While addressing newsmen at the APC secretariat, women leader of APC Bauchi LGA,  Aisha Namadi, and the APC  Youth, Bauchi  LGA,  Bello Usama Bauchi  respectively said, they staged the peaceful protest  to kick against  the mis-rule of Uba Nana lead executive in the state.

“We are not happy with the way and manner the state executive of the  party kept silence on the implementation of the party’s national  appeal committee with a view to swear-in the newly elected Bauchi  chapter of the APC officials which were arbitrary substituted in favour of their agents even when they did not contest elections” Aisha said.

The protesters had said, Uba Nana had created serious confusion in the  party, regretting that the political crises is coming at a time when primary election is at hand ahead of the 2015 elections.

“There is no room for Uba Nana to continue to stay in office as we  have already commenced the process of his impeachment from all the 20 local government areas of the state because he seemed to be dancing the tune of the PDP which is a monster in the development of the country” said Aisha.

While responding, the  Bauchi State APC  chairman, Hon. Uba Ahmed  Nana,  described the  protesters as a faceless group and bunch of failure who were sponsored  to carry out mob action against the executive.

He said there was no way the group could impeach him from office  because he was duly elected from all the 20 local government chapters of the state and assured that APC will win elections come 2015.

“Let me tell you, this group protesting against me was the same that betrayed the opposition before the PDP in 2011 elections because they needed money and I have come to work the party’s political victory” said Nana.
