Christmas:FG declares Thursday, Friday next week public holidays

The Federal Government has declared Thursday 25th and Friday 26th December, as public holidays to mark Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations.

Similarly, Thursday 1st January, 2015 has been declared as public holiday to mark the New Year.

The Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, made the declaration in a statement issued yesterday by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Engr. Abubakar G. Magaji.

Moro enjoined all Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Christmas.

The minister further urged Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the country.
