360,000 security personnel to be deployed for polls, says IGP

Inspector General of Police, IGP, Suleiman Abba has disclosed that about 360,000 personnel will be deployed to ensure a violent free election next month

The IGP while speaking to journalists at the end of a 2-day conference with the theme: Nigeria 2015 Elections and Beyond: Roles of State and Non-State Actors in Mitigating Violence in Elections held in Abuja said that about 300,000 of his officers have been trained in partnership with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and development partners.
