As a part of practical steps of getting Aba restored to its former economic glory, A non Governmental Organization (NGO), the Abia Think Tank, (ATT) has said the Aba summit is geared towards ensuring an economic revolution in the state.

This according to the group is to harness the economic potentialities of the great city of Aba and also to shore up economic fortune of Abia state.

The summit is slated to hold on thursday, October 23- Friday, October 24 2014 at  Hotel Terminus Complex Ltd. 230-246 Azikiwe Road, Aba with the theme “Aba as the centrepiece of Abia Economic Renaissance.”

Addressing a press conference recently in Lagos to herald the activities of the summit with the theme “Aba as the Centerpiece of

Abia Economic Renaissance”, The president of the group, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, OFR, said the state needs a revolution in areas of choosing a leader with the pedigree of business and economy development.

“We think the summit will be parts of our own contributions in making the Abians aware of the potentials and capability of the people that wants to take up positions in 2015. Most of the contenders would be at the event and it would be a platform for them to express their desired plans for Abia and opportunity for the people to asked them questions and be drilled, and if they make promises, we are going to hold them to task because Abia needs a revolution.

Ohuabunwa however urged the stakeholders and concerned citizens for supports saying the fallout of the Aba summit-2 will ignite tremendous economic activities in Aba with positive ripple effects in the economy of Abia state, Nigeria and West Africa

sub-region.
