Former Abia State governor  and the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial district, Senator T A Orji says he would   stop at nothing in ensuring that the forthcoming primaries of the ruling PDP, ”will be free and fair”.

Sen Orji who was speaking when he received in audience one of the PDP’s governorship aspirants, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, who paid him a visit at his Umuahia country home, insisted that free and fair primaries remained the incubator for good governance.   

The former governor encouraged the governorship hopeful to make wider consultations in his bid to actualise his ambition, adding that nobody can stop him from becoming Governor in 2023 “if it is God’s will”.

In his remarks earlier, Mayor Igbokwe,  told the former Governor that he came to seek his fatherly blessing on his ambition, adding that his decision to join the governorship race was borne out of his passion to reinvent the state and realise the dreams of its founding fathers.

Igbokwe added that his intention was to transform Abia State through Information Communication Technology (ICT) and entertainment industry.

He said he is prepared to make Abia the pride of the Igbo man, and maintained that his administration will rebuild Abia’s  infrastructural base and open up the state for foreign direct investment.
