Abubakar emerges Accord Party governorship candidate in Gombe

Accord Party’s only gubernatorial aspirant, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Hashidu has emerged the party’s candidate to contest for the seat of the governor in the forth coming general election in Gombe State.

Speaking in an interview with journalists yesterday in Gombe, the governorship aspirant said his intension to vie for governorship in the state was to put his people first and to ensure that pensioners have sense of belonging in the society.

He said people have suffered enough and there is need for change to ensure that citizens witness dividend of democracy in the country, adding that it is the responsibility of government to ensure that Infrastructure and human development are maintained

According to him, if elected, his administration would not shy away to contribute its quarter through human development, noting that a successful government can never achieve its programme without the concept of the people.

“My priority was to ensure that I empower youths in the state to enable them be productive” Hashidu said, adding that youths in any society are the engine room of government.

Speaking further, the governorship aspirant emphasized that he would do everything possible to ensure that he give security agents more support in order to put to an end to the insurgency in the north-east.
