AMIR of Àbuja Muslim Forum, Alh. Abdullrazaq Ajani, has make public the forum accomplishment within the said period and also demand action on the menace of Babàn – Bola in FCT.
Alh. Ajani stated this during the public Lecture in Commemoration of the 1447 Hijrah Anniversary held recently in Abuja.
” In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the universe. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our noble prophet, Muhammad (S. A. W), On behalf of the Executive Council of Abuja Muslim forum and indeed the entire members of the forum, I wish to welcome you to the 1447 Hijra Anniversary Public lecture .
“In commemoration of the hijrah of our noble prophet, from Makkah to Madinah. Permit me to remind us that the Abuja Muslim Forum was established thirty four(34) years ago with a clear vision to unite the Muslim ummah in Abuja and to be the voice of the Ummah in all matters of spiritual, educational, moral and economic benefits.
” We have made modest achievements in the area of rural da’awah, public enlightenment, Economic empowerment as well as other Islamic financial interventions through the institution of zakat, sadaqah and recent Waqf, Last year, Abuja Muslim Forum re-structured its Board Of Trustees by injecting about seven new members under the leadership of our great father, Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, CFR,(Ajiyan Katagum). We have equally presented to the new Board Of Trustees a 10-year programme of activities (2024_2034) with the construction of a world class Islamic Center/Secretariat as our first priority. We have three(3) parcels of land in Bwari, Airport road and Maitama Extension and we look forward to developing one with the help of Allah and your individual collective support”.
” Before I end my welcome redress, I must mention something that has been bothering me as an individual and I have shared my concerns with colleagues in the Executive Council and beyond. It is the issue of Almajiri and Baban-bola in the FCT”.
” While we appreciate the Federal and State Governments in handling the issue of Almajiri, alot needs to be done.
The menace of both Almajiri and Baban-bola in the FCT is nothing but crimes, drug abuse as well as other social distortions in the society. I have been challenged to come up with a blueprint on how to curb this menace and I am equally passing a challenge to this gathering for us to have experts on Education, Economics, Scholars and other stakeholders to help us come up with a blueprint that is practical, short, medium and long term implementation strategies to tackle this menace.
” As I end this address, I want to register my sincere appreciation to the Chairman and Members of the Board of Trustees for their support, guidance and direction in all our programmes and projects, I also wish to register my appreciation to the Special Guest of Honour, the Honourable Minister of regional Development Engr. Abubakar Momoh, our own Chairman of the occasion, Arch. Bukar Abubakar, our Royal Father of the day, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibril, CON Emir of Nasarawa;
our dear mother of the day, Hon. A bike Dabiri_Erewa;
And our Vibrant Guest of Speaker, Professor Salisu Shehu who is going to take us on the theme:
Hijrah: ” A Lesson in Patience Preserverance and enduring legacies”.
” Finally, I wish to register my appreciation to members of the Executive Council of the forum for their support, loyalty and endurance especially at this time of difficulties.
May Allah reward each and every one of us for the Sacrifice” .
The Chairmàn of public Lecture, Arch. Bukar Abubakar charge muslims faithful to use this new calendar year to reflect, retreat on the way forward on their spiritual growth.

The Hijra exemplifies the importance of unity, cooperation, and mutual support in building a strong and vibrant community. The Prophet’s journey demonstrates the power of faith, perseverance, and trust in Allah’s plan.
” As we begin this new Islamic year, let us renew our commitment to our faith, our community, and our values. Let us strive to emulate the Prophet’s example, fostering a spirit of compassion, justice, and kindness. May this occasion inspire us, Abubakar Said.

The Abuja Muslim Forum are doing wonderful works. They organized weekly Thursday lectures whereby Speakers speaks on issues/topics of importances.
