A budding political movement, the Allied Conservative Congress (ACC), has reiterated its commitment to contesting and winning Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, promising to steer the country towards genuine development, national unity, and prosperity.

In a statement on Friday, ACC’s National Chairman, Rev. Olusegun Peters, said the party’s vision is rooted in conservative principles aimed at restoring dignity, welfare, and security to the Nigerian people.

Rev. Peters invoked Section 14(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution, which places the security and welfare of citizens at the heart of governance, noting that these ideals have long been neglected by successive administrations.

“We feel the pains of our compatriots who yearn for the true dividends of democracy,” he said. “We have the political will and pragmatic leadership to build the Nigeria of our dreams.”

The party has yet to receive full registration from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), but is actively mobilising supporters nationwide.

Rev. Peters urged members to intensify grassroots efforts and embrace Nigerians who have become disillusioned with what he described as “misplaced progressivism” in the country’s political landscape.

According to him, the ACC aims to provide a “genuine democratic alternative” and return Nigeria to the path of “conservative, equitable, and decent governance.”

He called on citizens to identify with the party, declaring: “This is our chance to turnaround the destiny of our dear nation.”

The ACC’s message comes at a time of growing political realignment and rising discontent with the status quo, as many Nigerians prepare for another election cycle that could redefine the country’s trajectory.
