The leadership of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) 2, Abuja Branch has conferred merit awards on the treasurer of Gwagwalada Area Council, Alhaji Yahuza S. Musa, the Area Commander of the Nigeria Police Force in charge of Gwagwalada Command, ACP Nana Bature Garba as well as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Gwagwalada Divisional Police Command, CSP Tersoo Tele and others for their outstanding performance in Accountancy profession.
In an interviewed with newsmen during the awards ceremony in Gwagwalada, the Chairman of ANAN in the FCT, Mr Agbo Emmanuel, said the awards were bestowed on the recipients based on their contributions in the field of Accountancy.
He said his leadership would continue to honour those who had excelled in the area of Accountancy profession at their various institutions/organisations.
While reading his welcome address, Emmanuel thanked the dignitaries who graced the occasion.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Abdulrahman Ajiya who is the Chairman of Abaji Area Council, urged the awardees to continue to contribute their quota to the progress of Accountancy profession at their various places of work.
Ajiya, who is also the patron of ANAN FCT 1, commended the leadership of ANAN FCT 2 Abuja Branch for the well deserved honour.
The ANAN Awards’ lecture which tagged “Road Map to Economic Recovery: The Accountant’s View” was delivered by Professor Success Musa.
