The Jigawa state government through ministry of budget and economic planning in collaboration with Baba Azimi Foundation (BAF), with support from ActionAid Nigeria (AAN), organised a two days training on local governance.
After the training the participants established Inclusive Forum for Accountable Society (IFAS) aimed at promoting inclusiveness and accountability in the Communities.
The Action aid programme manager partnership and local right, Kehinde Arowosegbe said, the forum comprised both Civil Society Organizations, media, government officials from relevant ministries,MDAs and other stakeholders from the communities.
He maintained that, the forum will serve as platform where the communitie’s demand will be table, discuss and design a better solution to their demand or challenges.
“As of now ActionAid through Baba Azimi Foundation (BAF) are working in seven community in three local government of Kaugama, Miga and and Gwiwa to reduce poverty particularly among the women and other vulnerable”, he said.
