Adamawa 2027: Emmanuel Musa declares for Governorship race

Frontline businessman and renowned humanitarian Dr. Emmanuel N. Musa has officially declared his intention to contest the Adamawa State governorship seat in the 2027 general elections.

His declaration comes on the heels of sustained pressure from a broad spectrum of stakeholders across the state, including socio-cultural groups, civil society organizations, student unions, and rights advocacy bodies, who have continued to urge him to step into the political arena and consolidate on the legacy of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

Dr. Musa, President of the Emnamu Foundation, has, over the years, earned widespread recognition for his impactful interventions, particularly among internally displaced persons and vulnerable communities affected by the Boko Haram insurgency. Through the Foundation, he has pioneered various initiatives in healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and environmental sustainability.

Notable among his contributions are the clearance of medical bills for patients at the Specialist Hospital in Yola, the distribution of over N500 million to empower entrepreneurs across Adamawa, and the planting of 50,000 trees as part of the Foundation’s Action Against Climate Change campaign. The Emnamu Foundation has also supported new mothers in public hospitals and provided vehicles to aid humanitarian logistics in underserved areas.

Confirming the development, his Chief of Staff, Comrade Kukuya Godwin, said Dr. Musa’s decision to run was a direct response to the overwhelming demand for a new kind of leadership in Adamawa.

“Without any iota of doubt, I can confirm that Dr. Emmanuel N. Musa will be contesting the Adamawa governorship seat come 2027. This is in response to persistent calls by groups and individuals who believe in his capacity to reposition the state,” Kukuya stated.
