The African Democratic Congress, ADC, Adamawa state chapter has inaugurated its state interim executive committee to oversee administrative activities of the party before a substantive exco would be elected.
In his remarks, chairman of the occasion, National Zonal Vice chairman in charge of the North East region, David Lawal Babachir said despite the little skirmishes in the party, critical stakeholders have agreed to form this interim leadership with a view to hit the ground running as the 2027 elections is fast approaching.
Babachir and former Secretary to the Federal Government,SGF under former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration stressed that, the newly inaugurated leadership was born out of legitimate process approved by the National Working Committee (NWC).
He asserted that the NWC of the ADC had approved the new structure, warning that,the party would not tolerate acts of indiscipline or defiance.
“The new leadership is the substantive one because due diligence has been followed in line with the constitution of the party”.
“The national chairman of the party Sen. David Mark has assured all and sundry that ADC will be governed strictly according to constitutional provisions, noting that anyone who disagrees with that has no place in this party”.
Babachir charged the party faithfuls to uphold peace and unity within the ADC, adding that, “every politician is entitled to be insulted”.
