The biological father of Adamawa state Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been reported dead in Yola yesterday (Sunday).
Director General of the Governor,Mr. Solomon Kumarga told journalists that deceased( Alhaji Umaru Badami) died as a result of protracted illness after receiving treatment from Federal Medical Centre Yola.
Kumagar said late Badami died at 2:30pm at the octogenarian age of 82 years and has since been buried according to Islamic injunction,
According to report he was a retired soldier and left behind a wife and six children including Governor Fintiri.
Our correspondent in Yola reports that sympathisers has been trooping to condole the first family in the state.
