The Adamawa state government has urged residents to safeguard all electric installation and equipments in their domains and communities for safety and protection against vandalism.

Recalled that the ongoing routine maintenance on its installations and heavy duty equipments by Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has brought power outage in some parts of the country including north east region.

However, the decision was reached in Yola Wednesday  at the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting, presided over by the Deputy Governor Prof. Kaletapha Farauta where far reaching resolutions were taken for the betterment of the state and its citizenry.

Briefing  newsmen shortly after the SEC meeting, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr James Iliya, said that, the government is being proactive to ensure electrical installation and other public infrastructures are protected from destructions at all time.

Iliya stated that, the SEC directed people residing on flood prone areas to relocate to safer zones to avoid being submerged with a view to avoiding recording destruction of lives and property by the flood.

On the issue of out of school children, the council encouraged parents, guardians and caregivers to take advantage of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s free education policy and enroll their children back to school, cautioning that living them out of school is counter productive.
