A Yola based popular medical practitioner, Dr.Andrew Malgwi of Freedom Poly Clinic has been reported killed along with his wife by yet to be identified assailants.
Malgwi,a former commissioner for health in the Adamawa State and his wife were said to have been shot dead at their farm at a suburb in Boggare on Saturday evening after attending a meeting with their farm workers.
The slain doctor who was in his 70s owns Freedom Poly Clinic situated at state low cost housing estate in the state capital.
Confirming the incident, spokesman of the Adamawa state Police Command ,S.P Othman Abubakar said report at his disposal revealed that, Dr.Malgwi was killed along with his wife, around Boggare village, a suburb of Jambutu on their way home, after attending meeting in his farm.
Abubakar, also said no arrest made so far as investigators attached to the command have swong in to action to unravel those behind the heinous act.
Ibrahim Walye former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), a friend to deceased medical doctor, also confirmed the killing but could not give details of the assassination.
