Adamawa police nab 3 suspected members of notorious criminal gang “Shilla boys”

Adamawa State Police Command has arrested three (3) suspected members of a notorious criminal gang tagged “shilla boys “ which specialises in attacking and robbing their victims of their valuables using commercial tricycles in the state.
The suspects;Nasiru Umaru,18yrs,Adamu Muhammad 32yrs and Babaji Audi 22yrs were apprehended in Ngurore town of Yola South local government Area on the 20th January in their hideout following a tip off by operatives of the command.
Spokesman of the Command,DSP Suleiman Nguroje, dropped the hint via press statement issued in Yola yesterday stressing that the command received information on the suspicious movement of this syndicate at a remote area of Ngurore town .
Nguroje said on the strength of the information,the command deployed operatives led by the DPO Ngurore Division and were lucky to got them instantly.
“All the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.The command will ensure the tricycle will be returned to the actual owner.
“The Commissioner of police of the command,CP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji while appreciating the citizens for their cooperation and support so far,calls for improved partnership and collaboration between citizens and the police particularly in areas of providing credible and actionable information to the police”.The statement appealed.
