Adamawa title holder calls for Lamido Sanusi’s re-instatement as Emir of Kano

A highly respected traditional tittle holder in Adamawa state, Barrister Mustapha Tahir ,who holds the traditional tittle of Dan Jarman Adamawa, has called for the reinstatement of the 18th Emier of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi back to his throne.
Dan Jarman Adamawa who recently paid congratulatory visit to the newly elected Governor of Kano State, Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the NNPP National leader Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, re-iterated this call in an interview with journalists upon his arrival back to Yola Wednesday.
“I want to call on the newly elected Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, to reinstate Sanusi Lamido Sanusi back to his throne. His removal was illigal and in gross violation of all due processes ,and in abuse of the culture and traditions of Kano people which need to be reversed as soon as the new Government comes into effect, “ the chief said.
He noted that this call has become imperative taking into consideration the fact that apart from the illigal processes used to forcefully remove the Emir, his removal was also in violation of the culture and tradition of the Kano people which need to be reversed.
According to him, Sanusi’s removal was politically motivated and purely witch-hunting due to his principled stand on National issues which did not go down well with the powers that be, who are not comfortable with his bluntness hence the conspiracy to get him illigally removed at all cost and by all means which must not be allowed to stand.
Tahir further eulogised Sanusi’s leadership qualities and numerous contributions to the development of the society and humanity, describing him as a role model, a reformist, financial expert and a symbol of light to the entire Northern region who has paid his due by giving his all for humanity.
He further added that apart from positive changes and radical transformation Kano has witnessed, especially in its socio-economic life during his reign, his legacies and footprints in all the places he served especially during his tenure as CBN Governor speaks volumes on his leadership qualities, stressing that he is also a strong advocate of transparency, accountability and good governance.
He added that his call is premised on the fact that the court of law has already faulted the processes of his removal and ordered that his right should be fully restored, hence the need for government to obey court and restore his full right which should include the right to the thrown.
