Adamawa: UNDP trains young business entrepreneurs on self-reliance

The United Nations Development Programme,UNDP has trained fifty young entrepreneurs in different business endeavours in Adamawa state.
Country Director of the Organisation,Dr.Samuel Bwalya said the entrepreneurship training workshop was targeted at Nigerian youths engaged in menial businesses with a view to encouraging self-reliance and economic development.
Represented at the closing ceremony of the six days intensive practical workshop by the Team leader Inclusive Growth,UNDP ,Mr.Robert Asugwa explained that,the workshop was equipped with needed skills for moulding of participants in selected areas.
Mr.Asugwa said the organisation is creating an entrepreneur monitor with the federal government so that accessibility and information flow for business development.
Asugwa added that the training is targeted for young stars employable handled by UNDP noting that it has been successful in some states like Lagos where companies are employing their trainees.
Earlier in his keynote address, representative of Adamawa state Government, Executive Secretary of State Emergency Management Agency,SEMA,Alhaji Haruna Furo expressed delight with the training saying it will go a long way in developing our economy.
Responding behalf of the trainees,Mr.Jimmy Lot told the trainers that the training impacted on them will not go for nothing promising to use it judiciously.
